2 possibilities here :
1 - it was a SS chained dagger, the scabbard was replaced by a non-chain one (more practical) - probably during the war, by his original owner... (scabbard 100% original)
2 - the blade was clean (obviously it was cause the motto is faded) and the logo disapeared because of that.
i would think more of the 1st scenario as there is absolutely no trace of a logo...
otherwise, the dagger is in excellent condition with a nice anodized patina. all parts fits and are 100% original
it's a great investment !
